On pilgrimage
Gio earthly life was an intense pilgrimage to Heaven,
also studded with many geographic pilgrimages.
Giovannimaria's story has led us to many places of grace
where God, through his Son, the Virgin Mother, his angels and
his saints, calls each of us to the encounter with Him
and to the conversion of the hearts.
August 2005
SANCTUARY of SAN MICHEAL the ARCHANGEL,
Monte Sant'Angelo, Foggia.
He was the first that Gio visited,
when still in the womb.

March 2008
SANCTUARY OF OUR LADY OF DIVINE LOVE in Rome. Gio went there to pray and play twice with the maternal grandmother and his mother. (Oblate of Divine Love) .

CONVENT OF THE PRESENTATION on Monte Argentario GR.
In the summers spent on holiday at Cala di Forno (Fonteblanda GR), Gio often went with his mother and sisters to the weekday mass on the mountain Argentario which overlook the bay of Orbetello, to visit the Passionist Fathers.

THE PILGRIMAGE TO THE TOMB OF SAN FRANCESCO D'ASSISI. Gio, about two and a half years old, asked to go and see
"The barefoot saint".
On the same occasion, Gio visits the PORZIUNCOLA in the BASILICA of SANTA MARIA degli ANGELI.

Here Gio was a guest a few times, with his sisters and his mother, staying in the guesthouse of the Poor Clares Sisters.

SANCTUARY OF GRECCIO .
Gio visited the sanctuary accompanied by the priest and artist fra 'Sidival Fila ofm and rector of the Convent of San Bonaventura in Rome.

FIRST PILGRIMAGE TO MEDJUGORJE. Gio participates
to the ascent to Mount Krizevac and to the prayer of the Via Crucis.


January 2010
When Gio was 2 years old, after the diagnosis of the disease and after the first surgical operation, he went, with part of his family, on a pilgrimage to the TOMB of San Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo , in the crypt of the
CHURCH of SANTA MARIA delle GRAZIE.
Since then Padre Pio has always been one of his favorite saints. (Order of Capuchin Friars Minor).
On the same occasion Gio went up
also at the SANCTUARY OF SAN MICHEAL, in Monte Sant'Angelo and visited the birthplace of San Pio in PIETRALCINA.

BASILICA of SANTA CRISTINA , Bolsena. Accompanying a little sister to the Aikido exam
on the lake, Gio at the age of 4 wanted to visit the beautiful church where the Eucharistic miracle took place (1263) which was the reason for the institution of the Feast of Corpus Domini.

SECOND PILGRIMAGE TO MEDJUGORJE. Gio, guest with
the parents at Mirjana's home, participates in the extraordinary apparition on 2 October,
next to the seer,
at the Blue Cross, at the foot of Podbrodo, Collina of the apparitions.

CISTERCENSE MONASTERY of SAN GIACOMO di VEGLIA, Vittorio Veneto. Thu visits and remains a guest for
one night of nuns of the Cistercian order, who had been praying for him for a long time, at the request of a dear friend benefactress.
The Mother Abbess gives him the prayer of the Rosary of the Madonna that unties the knots.

Gio, at the invitation of Don Giovanni Biallo, joins the annual pilgrimage of the Diocese of Rome organized by the Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi OPR.

ROSARY HILL HOME, SHRINE OF MOTHER MARY ALPHONSA
and a place of reception and residence for the terminally ill without insurance. Monastery and hospice run by the Dominican sisters. Gio is invited by Br. John Maria Devaney OP and Br. Mario OP to the celebration
for American Independence Day.
